ChatGPT SEO
Getting your brand recommended when a buyer asks ChatGPT what to buy. Here is how ChatGPT picks brands, and what we work on.
How ChatGPT decides which brands to name
ChatGPT answers in two ways. Some answers come from what the model learned in training. Others, especially for questions about products, prices and "best" lists, trigger a live web search, and ChatGPT then summarises and cites the pages it finds.
That gives you two routes in. For the live search route, your pages need to be reachable by OpenAI's crawler, easy to parse and specific enough to quote. For the training route, your brand needs to be described often and consistently on sites that get read and cited widely: reviews, lists, comparisons, press and community threads.
ChatGPT tends to name brands when it can say why in one line. "Best for small teams." "Best budget pick." If no page on the web gives it that line about you, it will reach for a competitor that has one. Much of ChatGPT SEO is making sure that line exists, on your site and off it.
We also look at the words it uses. A brand that ChatGPT names but describes wrongly has a different problem from one it never names. The fix for each is different, which is why we read the answers before we change anything.
No one can promise a recommendation. We can make you easier to find and easier to describe, and show you each month whether ChatGPT has noticed. See our full guide if you want to try it yourself first.
What we do for ChatGPT visibility
-
Find the prompts that matter
We write the questions your buyers type, in their words, and check which ones already trigger a web search in ChatGPT.
-
Record who ChatGPT names
For each question we note the brands named, the order, the sources linked and the words used to describe each one.
-
Make your site quotable
Clear category pages, comparison pages and product facts. Short, specific answers a model can lift without rewriting.
-
Open the door to its crawlers
We check that OpenAI's search crawler can reach your pages, and that nothing in your setup hides key content.
-
Show up where it looks
We work on the review sites, lists, forums and publications that ChatGPT cites for your category.

Questions we hear
Can I pay ChatGPT to recommend my brand?
Not in its answers. Recommendations come from what the model learned and what it finds on the web. Any ads shown around ChatGPT are separate from the answer itself.
Why does ChatGPT name my competitor and not me?
Usually because more sources describe them clearly for that need. Our free review shows which sources ChatGPT leans on for your category, so you can see the gap.
Does ChatGPT read my website?
When it searches the web, yes, if its crawler can reach the page. Without search, it answers from training data, which reflects what was widely published about you before its cut-off.
How do you know if it worked?
We re-run the same prompts on a schedule and compare: named or not, in what position, and in what words. You get the screenshots.
